Ceramic Pottery Painting
Painting our pottery is easy, we use only the highest quality Bisque sourced from the uk’s best suppliers, so painting it is really simple.

1. Choose your piece.
2. Decide on a design and draw it on with a felt tip pen.
3. Apply the coloured glaze, 1 coat will give a semi-transparent colour, 2 coats will give a opaque colour, 3 coats will give a solid covering of colour.  For children's hand or foot prints we simply apply the glaze direct to the skin.

We take your masterpiece away and over glaze it, then fire it in our state of the art computer controlled kiln, for up to 24 hours, reaching 1020°c

Signature Plates

1. Contact us to make a booking, and we will send you out a booking form, and centre's guide.
2. Complete the booking form, send it back to us then sit back and relax.
3. On the 'Big Day' we will arrive at your chosen time to the venue, and make ourselves known to you.
4. We will then either proceed to gather the guests signatures, or if you would like we will make an announcement to your guests letting them know when and where to sign your plate.
5. Signing the plate is so easy ANYONE can do it, just write your message on the plate with the felt tip pen provided, we will be on hand to provide any guidance required.
6. Your plate is taken away to have its artwork hand decorated, and your chosen wording added, your guests messages will also be over glazed at this point.

7. Once dry the plate is dipped into the finishing glaze and fired in our state of the art computer controlled kiln, for up to 24 Hours, reaching 1020°c

When completed we will gift wrap your plate in a presentation box, and return it to you. Delivery times are usually from 7 days,

3-D Life Casting

1. First we will cover the hand/foot in baby lotion (this just makes the hand/foot a bit slippery, for the moment when we need to remove the mould)

2. We then mix up our fast setting, life casting Alginate with tepid water, and fill our casting cloth/tub with the mixture. .

3. Now the fun bit!

We simply pop the hand/foot into the mixture,* and ensure that it’s not touching the sides. Our fast setting formula will allow full mobility of the hand/foot up to the point of set - this is typically 1 minute.
*Babies might be a bit surprised but they generally quite like the squidgy feeling

4. The mould is now complete, and we gently remove it and take it away with us, we take your cast direct from it. Your cast is returned to you within 21 Days typically, dependent upon the size and drying times.

Please note that when we take a cast removing it from the mould destroys the mould, so only one cast can be taken from each.

Clay Prints

1. We will gently but firmly press your foot/hand into a piece of our high quality clay.
2. Your clay is taken away and left to dry for up to two weeks (dependent upon its size) during this time the clay is turned to ensure it remains flat, and trimmed to the desired shape.
3. Once completely dry the clay will have moisture content near 0% it can then have its final shaping and sanding and go into our kiln for a slow firing cycle.
4. The fired the clay is now called ‘Bisque’. We then add the desired colour,  wording or art work .

5. The Bisque is dipped into the finishing glaze and is ready for the second fired in our state of the art computer controlled kiln, for up to 24 Hours, reaching 1020°c

Pottery Parties
We offer home or venue visits for a party within a 20 mile radius of Coventry, they usually last around 1-1/2 hours, dependent on the age of the painters and the size and complexity of their items.  If you are too far away we can organise 'Pottery by Post' Pottery parties

1. Contact us to make a booking, and we will send you a booking form and guide.
2. View our products on line, choose your items and fill out the booking form, or contact us if you would like to discuss your choices.
3. We will confirm your booking and items, and arrive at the venue on the day with our Mobile Studio.
4. Protective over shirts and table coverings are provided, don’t worry though the glaze that we use are water based, and WILL NOT stain clothing.
5. Before you start we will explain the glazing and firing process and give you tips and ideas from our flip book on how to paint and get the best from your pottery pieces.
6. The painters then get to be artistic with as much or as little help as they want.
7. Once everyone is finished we will pack away all of the pieces, and tidy up after ourselves.

8. At the studio the pieces are dipped into the finishing glaze and fired in our state of the art computer controlled kiln, for up to 24 hours, reaching 1020°c
9. We return all items to the party organizer, gift wrapped, for them to distribute.
